I have a new way for you to support my FREE PATTERNS!! I know many or most of you love supporting us makers – the truth is that is takes a long time to create a pattern and then write it and then edit it and get it proofed and tested – and then publish it – then you have to link it everywhere – it’s a lot of work, but us makers do what we do to share our love with you. And, if you have followed my blog, you may know that I do not run ads on my blog, so all my support comes from PDF purchases. Some of you don’t need to purchase the PDF of my patterns but still want to say a quick Thank you – so, you can now support my blog and my work.
Isn’t this the cutest kids pretend play toy food set?
UPDATED JAN 2026:
My update includes the option to purchase a fully inclusive kit to make all you see.
GET YOUR KIT TODAY WHILE SUPPLIES LAST
Last year I created a whole FEAST of food to list as custom order items from my Etsy store. After making all the fruits and vegetables, I wanted to do some other things like a cheeseburger and sandwich kit and this breakfast fun. I started looking for patterns that were already done and “together,” but I just didn’t find much that I was excited about.
I have listed the whole breakfast in my Etsy pattern. You can get the whole 8-page pattern with tips and photos right HERE.
What you will find in the Etsy download is the waffles, pancakes, toast, bacon, eggs, banana, blueberries and strawberry slices!
As a thank you for stopping by, I am giving you the blueberries, strawberry and banana slices right here for FREE!
Thank you and if you would like to keep getting my free patterns check back here often or sign up to follow me.
BANANA SLICES:
With your size G/4mm hook and cream yarn:
Chain 2. Sc 6 in the second chain from the hook and work over your starting tail.
Starting in the first sc make 2 sc in that stitch and in each stitch around. (12) *Still work over the starting tail. After getting done with all 12 sc for that round, pull the starting tail to cinch up the opening. You can now trim that tail or weave it in or just leave it if it will be on the inside of your work.
Round 3: (sc, 2sc) repeat (18)
Round 4: (sc 2, 2sc) repeat (24)
Round 5: BLO sc around (24)
Round 6: sc in each stitch around (24)
Round 7: BLO sc around (24) *Do gray or black lines for “seeds” on top before decreasing so that you can hide your yarn inside.
Round 8: (sc 2, inv dec) repeat (18)
Round 9: (sc, inv dec) repeat (12) – finish with a tail to sew closed.
STRAWBERRY SLICES:
With your size G/4mm hook and pink and red yarn: START with PINK – Ch 2
Round 1: 6 sc in second chain from hook (6)
Round 2: 2 sc in each stitch around (12) (Change to RED)
Round 3: *1 sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc ** repeat around (18)
Round 4: *1 sc in next two sc, 2 sc in next sc ** repeat around (24) ***if you want to make the outside curvier like mine just change some of your sc in this round to hdc. Just be random with this part.
BLUEBERRIES:
With your size G/4mm hook and blue yarn: Ch 2
Round 1: 6sc in second chain from hook (6)
Round 2: 2sc in each stitch around (12)
Rounds 3-5: sc in each stich around (12)(12)(12)
Finish off your yarn and weave it in and out of the last 12 stitches with your needle. You will push just a small bit of stuffing inside and gather the end and tie to secure. Weave the end in.
