Crochet Lizard: Stash Busting Crochet

Hi Readers!!  Thank you for stopping by.

I don’t know about where you live, but I can always tell when it’s time to get the garden really going because I see the snakes, turtles and lizards all in my yard and trying to cross the road.  I love them all!!   In addition to trying to get my garden going this year, I have been doing a little of this and that 🙂

Fans of my Scraptastic patterns and other stash busting series’ will hopefully LOVE this project.  These fun Darn Good Yarn cakes/skeins were in my stash for so long!!  I kept collecting my DGY silk cakes but wasn’t really using many of them, so I vowed to myself to use them up this year!! It’s hard for me to use the silk yarns since I am primarily a toy maker, but then I decided toys can be silk too!!  Last Month for my Pattern Playhouse I realized that my L is for Lizard pattern would be perfect in silk!!  This pattern is very adaptable to many sizes and types of yarn.  I have modified the pattern for this yarn and my newest PDF is now available in my Etsy and Ravelry shops.  The PDF contains both my original and updated pattern.  My examples are from 20-24″ so make this the perfect size toy for both young and old!!

You can still get the FREE VERSION HERE on my blog, but this free version does not contain the updated bits.

To get those:

Now, don’t you want to make a lizard in every color?

Such a fun and easy project!!

Happy Crocheting and as always – thank you for following me.
